Arosia Water(Hydrotec Solutions Private Limited) (“we” or “us” or “our” or the “Company”) respects the privacy of its members (“you” or “your”) and has developed this Privacy Policy to demonstrate its commitment to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how that information may be used, with whom it may be shared, and your choices about such uses and disclosures. You must read this Privacy Policy carefully when using the Arosia Water platform or transacting with us. By using the Website or availing the services provided by us (“Service”), you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Arosia Operator Mobile Application
This section applies specifically to the Arosia Operator mobile app, used by Arosia Water field staff to log bacteria tests, chlorine refills, and water-ATM card registrations. Arosia Operator is a workforce tool - accounts are created by field staff and must be approved by an administrator before use. It is not offered to the general public and is not directed at children.
Information the app collects:
• Account information - username and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash - we cannot see or recover your actual password), assigned role, authorized sites, and an optional profile photo.
• Precise location - each time you capture a photo in the app, the app records your device's precise GPS coordinates and a timestamp, to confirm the work was carried out at the correct site.
• Photos - evidence photos for bacteria tests and chlorine refills, reference photos from card registration, and an optional profile photo.
• Information about other people - when registering a water-ATM access card for a customer, the app collects that customer's name, address, phone number, photo, and registration GPS location. See below.
We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage-tracking data, and the app has no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
How we use it:
Authentication and site/device access enforcement; a verifiable timestamped, geotagged record of field work for water-safety QA and recordkeeping; linking registered cards to the correct site, device, and cardholder. Not used for advertising.
How we share it:
Not sold, not shared for advertising or marketing. Accessible only to authorized Arosia Water personnel with an operational need, and to our hosting infrastructure providers as needed to run the service.
Storage and security:
HTTPS-encrypted transmission; hashed passwords, never stored or transmitted in plain text; login token held in the device's secure OS-level credential store.
Permissions used:
Camera (evidence/profile photos, required for core workflows) and Precise location (timestamping/geotagging submissions, required for core workflows) - both manageable in device settings.
Retention and deletion:
Test/refill logs and card registrations retained as needed for QA and regulatory recordkeeping. Deletion requests go to an Arosia Water administrator via the contact details below.
Information about other people:
If you are a customer whose details were collected during card registration, that data was provided by an operator in the ordinary course of setting up your dispenser access. Contact us to ask about, correct, or delete it.
